INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

  2. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Windshield Deicer System:


      1. B000HLG

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the connector and separate the wire harness from the front outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

    2. w/ Heated Windshield Defroster System:


      1. B000HSG

        Disengage the 4 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the 2 connectors and separate the wire harness from the front outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

    3. B000KY4

      Disengage the 2 clamps and separate the wire harness from the front outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

    4. B000KRD

      Remove the 10 bolts and front outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE


    1. B000NOP

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

  5. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)


    1. B000LJP

      Disconnect the vacuum sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor) connector.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.

    3. Remove the bolt and vacuum sensor (manifold absolute pressure sensor) from the intake manifold.

  6. REMOVE PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)

      *1 Fuel Vapor Hose
      *2 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose Assembly

      Slide the clip and disconnect the fuel vapor hose from the intake manifold.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose assembly from the purge valve (purge VSV).

    3. Disconnect the purge valve (purge VSV) connector.

    4. Remove the bolt and purge valve (purge VSV) from the intake manifold.

  7. REMOVE FUEL PUMP PROTECTOR


    1. B000MEM

      Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pump protector from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE


    1. B000M5N

      Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps from the No. 2 EGR pipe.

    2. B000MGH

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 EGR pipe from the EGR valve assembly and intake manifold.

    3. B000HBI

      Remove the No. 2 EGR pipe gasket from the EGR valve assembly.

    4. B000KK2

      Remove the EGR inlet gasket from the intake manifold.

  9. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE


    1. B000JDR

      Disengage the 7 wire harness clamps from the intake manifold.

  10. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. B000JU3

      Remove the 6 bolts and intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. B000ME8

      Remove the manifold gasket from the intake manifold.
