SHIFT LEVER (for TMMK Made) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER SUPPORT


    1. B000MFZE01

      Install the shift lever support to the vehicle body with the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL LOWER SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Check that the park/neutral position switch assembly and the shift lever are in neutral.

      Install the lower shift lever assembly to the shift lever support with the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

    3. Connect the shift lock control ECU connector.

      Slide the slider of the transmission control cable assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow and pull the lock piece outward.

    5. Engage the 2 claws to connect the transmission control cable assembly to the lower shift lever assembly.

      Connect the end of the transmission control cable assembly to the lower shift lever assembly.

      Note


      • Check that the lock piece is pulled out.

      • Connect the end of the transmission control cable assembly all the way to the base of the pin.

    7. Push the lock piece into the adjuster case.

      Note


      • Check that the shift lever position sensor assembly and shift lever are in neutral.

      • Securely push in the lock piece until the slider lock is engaged.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT


    1. Install the No. 1 console box duct to the lower shift lever assembly with the clip.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 1 console box mounting bracket to the lower shift lever assembly with the screw.

    2. Engage the guide.

  5. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET BRACKET LH


    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the floor carpet bracket LH with the 2 clips.

  6. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX INSERT


    1. B000JOY

      Engage the guide and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the console box insert with the screw <C> or <D>.

  7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

      Engage the guide and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the front No. 2 console box insert with the screw <C> or <D>.

    3. Engage the 2 claws to connect the room temperature sensor.

  8. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect each connector.

      Engage the guide and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the upper console panel sub-assembly with the 2 screws <C> or <D>.

  9. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B000MW4

      Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the glove compartment light as shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the clamp.

      Engage the guide and 2 clips.

    5. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 5 screws <C> or <D>.

  10. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH


    1. Engage the 3 guides.

      Engage the 4 claws to install the instrument side panel RH as shown in the illustration.

  13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      *a Alignment Mark (White)

      Align the alignment mark (White) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  16. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 4 claws, 9 clips and 3 guides.

    2. Install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel assembly with the bolt <B> and screw <C> or <D>.

  17. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  18. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH


    1. Engage the 3 guides.

      Engage the 4 claws to install the instrument side panel LH as shown in the illustration.

  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

      *a Alignment Mark (Yellow)

      Align the alignment mark (Yellow) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  20. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Engage the 2 clips.

    2. Install the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH with the clip.

  21. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Engage the 10 claws to install the front door scuff plate LH.

  22. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  23. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION


    1. When the shift lever is moved from P to R with the ignition switch ON and brake pedal depressed, make sure that the shift lever moves smoothly and correctly into the position.

    2. Start the engine and make sure that the vehicle moves forward when the shift lever is moved from N to D and moves rearward when the shift lever is moved to R.

  24. INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER

      Engage the 2 claws to install the shift lock release button cover to the shift position indicator.

  25. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
