REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER (for TMC, TMMR Made) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEELS

  2. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


  3. REMOVE NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER


    1. for TMC Made:


      1. B000NFB

        Remove the screw and 2 clips.

      2. Disengage the 6 nuts and remove the No. 2 floor under cover.

        Tech Tips

        The 6 nuts will remain attached to the No. 2 floor under cover.

    2. for TMMR Made:


      1. B000LMW

        Remove the 2 clips.

      2. Disengage the 6 nuts and remove the No. 2 floor under cover.

        Tech Tips

        The 6 nuts will remain attached to the No. 2 floor under cover.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER


    1. for TMC Made:


      1. B000KKM

        Remove the screw.

      2. Disengage the 5 nuts and 2 clips, and remove the No. 1 floor under cover.

        Tech Tips

        Rotate the clips to disengage them. The 5 nuts and 2 clips will remain attached to the No. 1 floor under cover.

    2. for TMMR Made:


      1. B000I0H

        Disengage the 5 nuts and 2 clips, and remove the No. 1 floor under cover.

        Tech Tips

        Rotate the clips to disengage them. The 5 nuts and 2 clips will remain attached to the No. 1 floor under cover.

  5. SEPARATE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the nut and separate the rear stabilizer link assembly LH from the rear stabilizer bar.

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

  6. SEPARATE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER BAR


    1. B000ILP

      Remove the 4 bolts, rear stabilizer bar, 2 rear No. 1 stabilizer bar brackets and 2 rear stabilizer bushings.

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. B000MVB

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 3 exhaust pipe support bracket from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE REAR BODY END MOUNTING BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B000HA1

      Remove the 2 bolts and rear body end mounting bracket sub-assembly from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Height Control Sensor)

  11. SEPARATE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B000HF6

      Remove the bolt, nut and separate the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly (outer side) from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

      Note

      When removing the bolt, keep the nut from rotating.

  12. SEPARATE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. SEPARATE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt, nut and separate the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly (outer side) from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.

      Note

      When removing the bolt, keep the nut from rotating.

  14. SEPARATE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Support the rear suspension member sub-assembly with an engine lifter using 4 attachments or equivalent tools as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Make sure to secure the rear suspension member sub-assembly to prevent it from dropping.

      • Use the attachments to keep the rear suspension member sub-assembly level.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, 4 nuts, 2 rear suspension member lower stopper sub-assemblies and 2 rear suspension member lower stoppers.

    3. Slowly lower the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

      Note

      When lowering the rear suspension member sub-assembly, be careful not to damage the vehicle body or other components installed on the vehicle.

  16. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt and rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

  19. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER DAMPER (w/ Dynamic Damper)

      Remove the 2 bolts and rear suspension member damper from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BODY MOUNTING FRONT CUSHION LH

      Using SST and a press, remove the rear suspension member body mounting front cushion LH from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.
