NAME PLATE(for Wagon) REMOVAL

Tech Tips

When removing the name plates or emblem, heat the vehicle body and name plates or emblem using a heat light.

Heating Temperature
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Name Plate or Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body, name plates or emblem excessively.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM


    1. A00308JC02
      *a Wooden Block
      *b Piano Wire
      A00301U Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the No. 1 back door emblem as shown in the illustration.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 back door emblem.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire to separate the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 back door emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the No. 1 back door emblem.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. A0030OBC02
      *a Wooden Block
      *b Piano Wire
      A00301U Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the back door name plate as shown in the illustration.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire to separate the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the back door name plate.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. w/o Back Door Name Plate:


      1. A002ZYVC01
        *a Wooden Block
        *b Piano Wire
        A00301U Protective Tape

        Apply protective tape around the No. 2 back door name plate as shown in the illustration.

      2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 back door name plate.

      3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

      4. Pull the piano wire to separate the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 back door name plate to the vehicle body.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      5. Remove the No. 2 back door name plate.

    2. w/ Back Door Name Plate:


      1. A002ZZDC02
        *a Wooden Block
        *b Piano Wire
        A00301U Protective Tape

        Apply protective tape around the No. 2 back door name plate as shown in the illustration.

      2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 back door name plate.

      3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

      4. Pull the piano wire to separate the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 back door name plate to the vehicle body.

        Note

        Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      5. Remove the No. 2 back door name plate.
