REAR BUMPER(for Sedan) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01D5LO

      Install the rear bumper arm sub-assembly LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

      Install the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH


    1. A01D4L9

      Install the rear bumper side seal LH with the 3 clips.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH

      Install the rear bumper side seal RH with the 3 clips.

  6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

      Engage the 2 guides to install the rear bumper upper retainer LH.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      Engage the guide to temporarily install the rear combination light assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the screw.

    3. A01D3W4

      Install the rear combination light assembly LH with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    4. Engage the 2 clamps.

    5. Connect the 2 connectors.

      Install the luggage compartment trim cover assembly to the original position as shown in the illustration.

      Install the 2 clips.

  9. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A01D3O4

      Engage the 4 claws.

    2. Install the rear bumper side retainer LH with the 2 screws.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01D4GO

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the reflex reflector assembly LH with the screw.

  13. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD


    1. Clean off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from a new rear bumper pad.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the rear bumper pad as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Stick the rear bumper pad on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.

  15. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Engage the 4 clamps to install the No. 2 luggage room wire.

    2. Connect the 4 connectors.

  16. INSTALL NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)
