REAR BUMPER(for Hatchback) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A012HNX

      Install the rear bumper arm sub-assembly LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A012LHG

      Install the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH


    1. A012FU8

      Install the rear bumper side seal LH with the 3 clips.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH


    1. A012JGL

      Install the rear bumper side seal RH with the 3 clips.

  6. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER LH


    1. A012N46

      Engage the 2 guides to temporarily install the upper rear bumper retainer LH to the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. A012IZO

      Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to temporarily install the upper rear bumper retainer LH and rear combination light assembly LH as a set.

    3. Install the upper rear bumper retainer LH with the screw.

  7. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A012IXQ

      Engage the 3 claws.

    2. Install the rear bumper side retainer LH with the 2 screws.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER MOULDING


    1. A012IRN

      Engage the 3 guides and 2 claws.

    2. Install the rear bumper moulding with the 3 screws.

  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH


    1. A012JR6

      Engage the 4 claws.

    2. Install the rear bumper side moulding LH with the 3 screws.

  14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL REAR BUMPER GUARD


    1. A012KQW

      Engage the 11 claws.

    2. A012MXX

      Install the rear bumper guard with the 4 screws.

      Torque:
      1.5 N*m  { 15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf }

  16. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A012KW2

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the reflex reflector assembly LH with the screw.

  17. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. INSTALL REAR LICENSE PLATE CUSHION


    1. Clean off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from 2 new license plate cushions.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    3. Install the 6 rear license plate cushions as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Stick the 6 license plate cushions on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.

    4. w/ Bracket:


      1. Clean off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      2. Remove the release paper from 2 new license plate cushions.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        *a Center of rear license plate cushion

        Install the 2 rear license plate cushions as shown in the illustration.

        Area Measurement
        A 210 mm (8.27 in.)

  19. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE BRACKET (w/ Bracket)


    1. A012HOJ

      Install the license plate bracket with the 2 screws.

  20. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. A012MEQ

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the No. 2 luggage room wire.

  21. INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR BEZEL (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)
