REAR BUMPER(for Wagon) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A012IAZ

      Install the rear bumper arm sub-assembly LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A012KO2

      Install the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH


    1. A012ITC

      Install the rear bumper side seal LH with the 3 clips.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH


    1. A012IW3

      Install the rear bumper side seal RH with the 3 clips.

  6. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER LH


    1. A012GM8

      Engage the 2 guides to temporarily install the upper rear bumper retainer LH to the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. A012F93

      Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to temporarily install the upper rear bumper retainer LH and rear combination light assembly LH as a set.

    3. Install the upper rear bumper retainer LH with the screw.

  7. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. A012FI9

      Engage the guide and 4 claws.

    2. A012K2W

      Install the rear bumper side retainer LH with the 3 screws.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER MOULDING


    1. Engage the 5 guides and 8 claws.

      A012FPP

    2. Install the rear bumper moulding with the 5 clips.

  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER GUARD


    1. Engage the 3 guides and 6 claws.

      A012JQZ

    2. Install the No. 2 rear bumper moulding with the 3 clips.

      A012NAX

    3. Engage the 5 guides and 8 claws.

      A012LD1

    4. Install the rear bumper guard with the 5 clips.

  14. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A012L2E

      Engage the claw.

    2. Install the reflex reflector assembly LH with the screw.

  15. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. INSTALL CENTER REAR BUMPER PAD


    1. Clean off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from 4 new center rear bumper pads.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the 2 center rear bumper pads as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips


      • Stick the 2 center rear bumper pads on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  17. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH


    1. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from the new rear bumper pad LH.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the rear bumper pad LH as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Stick the rear bumper pad LH on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.

  18. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Engage the 4 clamps.

      *a Line - -
      A012F6O Adhesive Tape - -

    2. Connect the 4 connectors.

    3. Install the No. 2 luggage room wire with the adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Apply the tape securely in place.

      • Do not touch the adhesive surface when applying the tape to prevent adhesion failure.

  20. INSTALL NO. 4 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)
