DESCRIPTION

The AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) receives signals indicating direction and amount the steering is turned from the steering angle sensor using CAN communication.

  • If the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B2414 is not output.
      Result

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK SPIRAL W/ SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR)


    1. Replace the spiral w/ sensor cable sub-assembly with a new or known good one.

    2. Check for DTCs.
