DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) detects a malfunction in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly power source or rear height control sensor sub-assembly.

  • If the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

    • Removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes

      DTC B2416 is not output.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY) - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A93 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the M1 rear height control sensor sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A93-18 (B) - M1-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-21 (SGF) - M1-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A93-18 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
