REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT BACK-UP LIGHT SOCKET

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Back-up Light Socket)

      Disconnect the rear light assembly connector.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the back-up light socket and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 The back-up light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the back-up light socket.

2. INSPECT TAIL LIGHT SOCKET (for Halogen Headlight)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Tail Light Socket)

      Disconnect the rear light assembly connector.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the tail light socket and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 The tail light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the tail light socket.

3. INSPECT REAR FOG LIGHT SOCKET (for Halogen Headlight with Rear Fog Light)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Fog Light Socket)

      Disconnect the rear light assembly connector.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the rear fog light socket and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 The rear fog light comes on

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the rear fog light socket.

4. INSPECT REAR LAMP SOCKET AND WIRE LH (for LED Headlight)

   
   
   1. 

      *A	w/ Rear Fog Light
      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Light Socket and Wire LH)

      Disconnect the rear light assembly connector.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the rear light socket and wire LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E) The rear fog light comes on Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (B) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (E) The taillight comes on

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the rear light socket and wire LH.

5. INSPECT REAR LAMP SOCKET AND WIRE RH (for LED Headlight)

   
   
   1. 

      *A	w/ Rear Fog Light
      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Light Socket and Wire RH)

      Disconnect the rear light assembly connector.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the rear light socket and wire RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (B) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E) The rear fog light comes on Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (B) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (E) The taillight comes on

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the rear light socket and wire RH.
