The automatic high beam system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication functions by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the automatic high beam system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly.

Tech Tips


    If the pre-crash safety city sensor stores a DTC for a malfunction of any of the following, this DTC will be stored simultaneously.

  • Vehicle speed sensor

  • Yaw rate sensor

  • Steering sensor

  • CAN communication system

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      Result

    1. Check if a pre-crash safety system warning message is displayed on the combination meter assembly.
