AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM(for Sedan) DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM


  1. DESCRIPTION


    1. Automatic headlight beam level control system data and Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be read from the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. When the system seems to be malfunctioning, use the GTS to check for malfunctions and perform repairs.

  2. CHECK DLC3

  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery.

    2. DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM


      1. for Multi-information Display (Color Type):


        1. If the automatic headlight beam level control system malfunctions, "Headlight system malfunction. Visit your dealer." will be displayed on the multi-information display.

          Tech Tips

          In this case, the headlight leveling ECU assembly will store DTCs.

      2. for Multi-information Display (Segment LCD Type):


        1. If the automatic headlight beam level control system malfunctions, the headlight leveling warning light will be illuminated.
