FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front wiper arm head cap.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the nut and windshield wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the nut and windshield wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH (for Hatchback, Wagon)


    1. A012FQP

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. A012JFLC01
      A012F6O Double-sided Tape

      Disengage the 3 guides, separate the double-sided tape and remove the front fender to cowl side seal LH as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH (for Hatchback, Wagon)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SIDE PANEL PROTECTOR LH (for Sedan)

      Disengage the 2 claws and guide.

    2. A012F45C01
      A012F6O Double-sided Tape

      Separate the double-sided tape, disengage the claw and 2 guides and remove the front No. 2 side panel protector LH as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SIDE PANEL PROTECTOR RH (for Sedan)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SIDE PANEL PROTECTOR LH (for Hatchback, Wagon)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the front No. 2 side panel protector LH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SIDE PANEL PROTECTOR RH (for Hatchback, Wagon)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front No. 2 side panel protector RH.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL LH (for Sedan)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the No. 1 radiator grille seal LH as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL RH (for Sedan)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback, Wagon)


    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 8 guides and remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  13. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)


    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 8 guides and remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  14. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

      *a Motor Grommet

      Disengage the motor grommet as shown in the illustration and remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the windshield when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

    4. A012KDW

      Disconnect the connector.

  15. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Windshield Wiper Crank Pivot

      Using a screwdriver, separate the No. 1 windshield wiper link rod from the windshield wiper crank pivot of the windshield wiper motor and link assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A012FHH

      Remove the 3 bolts and windshield wiper motor assembly from the windshield wiper link assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If the windshield wiper motor assembly cannot be removed from the windshield wiper link assembly, turn the crank arm so that the windshield wiper motor assembly can be removed.
