HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) INSTALLATION
PROCEDURE

INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
-
Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.
-
Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.
-
Engage the hood lock control cable assembly to the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet.
-
-
INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)
-
Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.
-
Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.
-
Engage the hood lock control cable assembly to the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet.
-

INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
-
Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.
-
Connect the hood lock control cable.
-
Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.
- Torque:
- 7.5 N*m { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }
-
w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:
-
Engage the clamp.
-
Connect the connector.
-

INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
-
Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
-

CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
-
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover:

INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for LHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)
-
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)
w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover:

INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for RHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for LHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (for LHD)
w/ Mudguard:
-
INSTALL FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for RHD)
-
INSTALL FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD RH (for RHD)
