FRONT CONSOLE BOX(for Sedan) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT


    1. A01T9PWC01
      *a Guide <A>
      *b Guide <B>

      Pull the front No. 1 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to disengage the claw, 3 clips and guide <A>.

    2. Pull the front No. 1 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to disengage the guide <B> and remove the front No. 1 console box insert.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

      *a Guide <A>
      *b Guide <B>

      Pull the front No. 2 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to disengage the claw, 3 clips and guide <A>.

    2. Pull the front No. 2 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to disengage the guide <B> and remove the front No. 2 console box insert.

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      for Manual Transaxle:


      1. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

    2. for CVT:


      1. A01TCK9

        Disengage the claw to disconnect the position indicator housing assembly as shown in the illustration.

      2. A01TBEO

        Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE BEZEL


    1. for Manual Transaxle:


      1. A01TBKP

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 clips and remove the shifting hole bezel.

    2. for Multi-Mode Manual Transaxle:


      1. A01TD7A

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 5 clips and remove the shifting hole bezel.

  6. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY (for CVT)


    1. A01TDHE

      Using a moulding remover as shown in the illustration, disengage the 3 clips.

    2. A01TBN9

      Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01TDSB

      Disengage the clip as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect the connector to remove the position indicator housing assembly.

  7. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01TDPB

      Disengage the 3 claws and 5 clips and remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL


    1. A01TAUG

      Disengage the 6 clips.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Disconnect each connector to remove the upper console panel.

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. A01TB0R

      Disengage the 4 clips.

    2. Disconnect each connector.

    3. Disengage the clamp to remove the instrument panel box assembly.

  10. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET


    1. A01TD0K

      Remove the console box carpet.

  11. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. for Manual Transaxle:


      1. A01T9DT

        Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

    2. except Manual Transaxle:


      1. A01T8WD

        Remove the 2 bolts and 4 screws.

    3. A01TBA9

      Disengage the 4 guides and remove the rear console box assembly as shown in the illustration.

    4. w/ Power Outlet Socket:


      1. Disconnect the connector.
