LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL(for Sedan) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. When installing a new lower instrument panel sub-assembly:


      1. Immediately before installing the lower instrument panel sub-assembly, twist and cut off the portion as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 2 bolts <A> or <B>, 8 screws <D> and screw <E> or <F>.

    3. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:


      1. Engage the 2 claws to connect the cooler (room temp. sensor) thermistor.

    4. Engage the 2 claws to connect the DLC3.

    5. Connect each connector.

    6. Engage each clamp.

  2. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the claw to install the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

      *a Opened Approximately 53°
      *b Closed

      With the glove compartment door assembly opened approximately 53° from its closed position, engage the 2 hinges horizontally.

      Note

      Engaging the hinges from the top will deform the hinges. Be sure to install the glove compartment door assembly horizontally.

      *1 Glove Compartment Door Stopper Sub-assembly
      *a Stopper

      Slightly bend the stoppers (A) and (B) in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration and engage the stoppers to install the glove compartment door assembly.

    3. Engage the claw to connect the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the guide and 3 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  6. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  8. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

  9. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD RETAINER WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 NAVIGATION ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

  11. INSTALL STEREO OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Radio Receiver)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 guides.

    3. Install the stereo opening cover with bracket with the 4 bolts <C>.

  12. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Radio Receiver)

  13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)


    1. Engage the 7 clips to install the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

  14. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WITH DOOR (w/ Knee Airbag)

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the guide and claw.

    2. Install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly with the 2 screws <G>.

  16. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (for LHD)


    1. w/o Entry and Start System:

        Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 1 switch hole base as shown in the illustration.

    2. w/ Entry and Start System:


      1. Connect the connector.

        Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 1 switch hole base as shown in the illustration.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE (for RHD)


    1. Connect the connector.

      Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 1 switch hole base as shown in the illustration.

  18. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE (for LHD)

      Engage the 3 clips to install the No. 2 switch hole base as shown in the illustration.

  19. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE (for RHD)

      Engage the 5 clips to install the No. 2 switch hole base as shown in the illustration.

  20. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 8 clips to install the lower instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  21. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the claw and 6 clips to install the lower instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  22. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
