UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL(for Hatchback, Wagon) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. When using a new instrument panel sub-assembly:


      1. Immediately before installing the upper instrument panel assembly, twist and cut off the portion shown in the illustration.

    2. Push the upper instrument panel assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to engage the 5 guides.

    3. Push the upper instrument panel assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to engage the 6 clips to install the upper instrument panel assembly.

    4. Install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly bolt <A>.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    5. Install the 2 clips.

  2. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 9 clips to install the instrument cluster finish panel garnish assembly as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH


    1. A012H3YN01

      Push the instrument side panel RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to engage the 2 guides and push it in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to engage the 6 clips to install the instrument side panel RH.

  5. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  7. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

      Engage the 4 claws and 3 clips to install the center instrument cluster finish panel.

  8. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 4 clips to install the upper instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH


    1. A012GPMN01

      Push the instrument side panel LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to engage the 2 guides and push it in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to engage the 6 clips to install the instrument side panel LH.

  10. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

  12. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 9 guides and 4 clips to install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly as shown in the illustration.

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 METER HOOD CLUSTER


    1. A012MFL

      Engage the 3 clips to install the No. 1 meter hood cluster.

  15. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the claw and 7 clips to install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  16. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL


    1. A012FFJ

      Engage the claw and 2 clips to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel as shown in the illustration.

  17. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
