UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL(for Sedan) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01TCNU

      Remove the 3 screws <B>.

    2. A01TCU7

      Disengage the 6 guides and remove the defroster nozzle assembly as shown in the illustration.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. A01T9T5

      Remove the 4 screws <B> and No. 1 heater to register duct.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

    1. Remove the 3 screws <B> and No. 2 heater to register duct.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE COOLER (SOLAR SENSOR) THERMISTOR (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  6. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (w/ Automatic Light Control System)

  7. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01TCQ3

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01TDK1

      Remove the 7 screws <B> and center instrument panel register assembly.

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL RETAINER


    1. A01T8DL

      Remove the 4 screws <B> and instrument cluster finish panel retainer.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION


    1. Remove the No. 2 instrument panel cushion.

  10. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE


    1. for Manual Air Conditioning System:


      1. A01T8BR

        Disengage the 6 clamps to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

    2. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:


      1. A01T9EX

        Disengage the 10 clamps to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

  12. REMOVE NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION


    1. Remove the 2 No. 5 instrument panel cushions.

  13. REMOVE NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION


    1. Remove the 2 No. 4 instrument panel cushions.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION


    1. Remove the No. 1 instrument panel cushion.

    2. Remove the No. 1 instrument panel cushion.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE


    1. A01TAWU

      Disengage the 5 claws and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH


    1. Remove the 8 screws <B> and No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.
