COOLER EXPANSION VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL COOLER EXPANSION VALVE


    1. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the cooler expansion valve.

      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

    3. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, install the cooler expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts.

      Torque:
      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL COOLER CAP (w/o Cooler System)

  3. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)

    w/o Sub-cool Accelerator:

  4. CONNECT SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)


    1. w/o Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the suction pipe sub-assembly.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the suction pipe sub-assembly.

        Refrigerant Compressor Oil
        HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
        HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

      3. Install the O-ring to the suction pipe sub-assembly.

      4. Connect the suction pipe sub-assembly.

      5. B0042M4

        Rotate the hook connector as shown in the illustration.

      6. Insert the pipe joint into the fitting hole securely and install the bolt.

        Torque:
        9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

  5. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)


    1. w/ Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Compressor Oil
        ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

      3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      4. Connect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Rotate the hook connector as shown in the illustration.

      6. Insert the pipe joint into the fitting hole securely and install the bolt.

        Torque:
        9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for 1WW, 1ND-TV)

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for 1WW, 1ND-TV)

  8. INSTALL WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for 1WW, 1ND-TV)

    for LHD:

  9. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for 1WW, 1ND-TV)

  10. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT (w/ Cooler System)
