COOLER EXPANSION VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL COOLER EXPANSION VALVE


    1. Apply sufficient compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the cooler expansion valve.

      Compressor Oil
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

    3. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, install the cooler expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts.

      Torque:
      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL COOLER CAP (w/o Cooler System)

  3. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)

  4. CONNECT SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)


    1. Remove the vinyl tape from the suction pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the suction pipe sub-assembly.

      Compressor Oil
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    3. Install the O-ring to the suction pipe sub-assembly.

    4. Connect the suction pipe sub-assembly.

    5. A01LXOI

      Rotate the hook connector as shown in the illustration.

    6. Insert the pipe joint into the fitting hole securely and install the bolt.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for 1AD-FTV, 1ND-TV)

  6. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for 1AD-FTV)

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL (for 1AD-FTV, 1ND-TV)

  8. INSTALL WATER GUARD PLATE LH (for 1AD-FTV, 1ND-TV)

  9. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY (for 1AD-FTV, 1ND-TV)

  10. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT (w/ Cooler System)

  11. WARM UP ENGINE (w/ Cooler System)
