REFRIGERANT LINE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP (for Sedan)


    1. w/o Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the open ends of the suction pipe sub-assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

      2. A01TB9IC01
        *1 Suction Hose Sub-assembly
        *2 Piping Clamp
        *a Groove

        Install a new piping clamp to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note


        • Securely engage the inside step of the piping clamp into the groove of the suction hose sub-assembly.

        • Do not widen the opening of the piping clamp more than the diameter of the suction hose sub-assembly when installing it.

        • Do not install the piping clamp with the large diameter section in the wrong direction.

      3. Thoroughly coat 2 new O-rings and the contact surface of the suction hose sub-assembly with compressor oil.

        Refrigerant Compressor Oil
        HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
        HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

      4. Install the 2 O-rings to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note

        Keep the O-rings and sealing surface of the suction hose sub-assembly free from foreign matter.

      5. A01TATGC01
        *a Large Diameter Section of Piping Clamp
        *b Alignment Mark

        Align the alignment marks and engage the suction pipe sub-assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note

        Engage the parts by holding the pipe, not the piping clamp.

      6. A01TAZLC01
        *a Large Diameter Section of Piping Clamp

        Securely insert the piping clamp to the point where the large diameter section of the piping clamp is covered by the suction pipe sub-assembly.

        Tech Tips


        • When inserting, make sure that a click sound is heard.

        • Check that the suction hose sub-assembly is securely installed by pulling it.

    2. w/ Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the open ends of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

      2. A01TB9IC01
        *1 Suction Hose Sub-assembly
        *2 Piping Clamp
        *a Groove

        Install a new piping clamp to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note


        • Securely engage the inside step of the piping clamp into the groove of the suction hose sub-assembly.

        • Do not widen the opening of the piping clamp more than the diameter of the suction hose sub-assembly when installing it.

        • Do not install the piping clamp with the large diameter section in the wrong direction.

      3. Thoroughly coat 2 new O-rings and the contact surface of the suction hose sub-assembly with compressor oil.

      4. Install the 2 O-rings to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note

        Keep the O-rings and sealing surface of the suction hose sub-assembly free from foreign matter.

        Align the alignment marks and engage the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note

        Engage the parts by holding the pipe, not the piping clamp.

      6. A01TAZLC01
        *a Large Diameter Section of Piping Clamp

        Securely insert the piping clamp to the point where the large diameter section of the piping clamp is covered by the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Tech Tips


        • When inserting, make sure that a click sound is heard.

        • Check that the suction hose sub-assembly is securely installed by pulling it.

  2. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP (w/ Sub-cool Accelerator)


    1. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioner tube assembly and air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioner tube assembly.

      Compressor Oil
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

    3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner tube assembly.

    4. Install the air conditioner tube assembly to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Install the piping clamp to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Note

      Make sure that the piping clamp is engaged securely with no gap.
