AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

    Click here

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

      Note

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

    3. A01T9TF

      Install the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly with the front evaporator temperature sensor (No. 1 cooler thermistor) to the upper heater case.

    4. Engage the clamp.

    5. A01TASA

      Engage the 2 guides and 2 claws to install the lower heater case.

    6. Install the 4 screws.

  3. INSTALL COOLER EXPANSION VALVE


    1. A01TD1V

      Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the cooler expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts.

      Torque:
      3.5 N*m  { 36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01TDP4

      Install the heater radiator unit sub-assembly to the air conditioning radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.

  5. INSTALL HEATER COVER BRACKET


    1. A01TAFM

      Install the heater cover bracket with the screw.

  6. INSTALL AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      *a Reference Point

      Using the reference points, engage the 3 claws to install the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)


    1. A01T9IUC02
      *a Reference Point

      Using the reference points, engage the 3 claws to install the No. 2 heater control cable sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 clamps.

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. for Dual Type:

        *a Reference Point

        Using the reference points, install the No. 2 air mix damper servo sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

  9. INSTALL AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. for Single Type:


      1. A01T96IC01
        *a Reference Point

        Using the reference points, install the air mix damper servo sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

    2. for Dual Type:


      1. A01TAVCC01
        *a Reference Point

        Using the reference points, install the air mix damper servo sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

  10. INSTALL MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. A01TC2IC01
      *a Reference Point

      Using the reference points, install the mode damper servo sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

  11. INSTALL QUICK HEATER ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area)
