COMBUSTION TYPE POWER HEATER SYSTEM PRECAUTION

  1. PRECAUTION FOR COMBUSTION TYPE POWER HEATER SYSTEM

    • Do not touch the heater assembly or its exhaust pipe because they are hot.

    • Keep flammable objects such as fuel away from the heater assembly and its exhaust pipe. Items that come into contact with the heater assembly and its exhaust pipe may cause a fire.

    • Do not use improper fuels because these may shorten the life of the heater assembly, or may cause corrosion or noise when the heater assembly ignites.

    • Do not turn the heater system on and off repeatedly at intervals of less than 5 minutes because this may shorten the life of the heater components. If the engine is turned on and off repeatedly in short intervals (such as when the vehicle is being used as a delivery vehicle), turn the heater system off.

    • Be careful not to splash water or spill liquid directly on the heater assembly or on the heater pump assembly. This may cause the heater to malfunction.

    • Keep the intake and exhaust pipes of the heater assembly free from water, snow, ice, mud, etc. If the pipes become clogged, this can cause the heater to malfunction.
