SEAT HEATER SWITCH(for Sedan) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (FOR LH)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Seat Heater Switch (for LH))

      Check the seat heater switch (for LH).

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 - 1 HI switch on Below 1 Ω 2 - 1 HI switch off 10 kΩ or higher 2 - 3 LO switch on Below 1 Ω 2 - 3 LO switch off 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

   2. Check that each LED illuminates.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for LH) and check that each LED illuminates.

         OK
         Battery Connection Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 2 Battery negative (-) → 6 HI switch on Comes on (Yellow) Battery positive (+) → 2 Battery negative (-) → 6 LO switch on Comes on (Yellow) Battery positive (+) → 5 Battery negative (-) → 4 Always Comes on (Clear blue)

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (FOR RH)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Seat Heater Switch (for RH))

      Check the seat heater switch (for RH).

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 2 HI switch on Below 1 Ω 3 - 2 HI switch off 10 kΩ or higher 3 - 4 LO switch on Below 1 Ω 3 - 4 LO switch off 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).

   2. Check that each LED illuminates.

      
      

      1. Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for RH) and check that each LED illuminates.

         OK
         Battery Connection Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 3 Battery negative (-) → 10 HI switch on Comes on (Yellow) Battery positive (+) → 3 Battery negative (-) → 10 LO switch on Comes on (Yellow) Battery positive (+) → 8 Battery negative (-) → 6 Always Comes on (Clear blue)

         If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).
