PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM Pre-crash Safety System Cancel Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Each time the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly is pressed, the multi-information display sensitivity setting display changes and the sensitivity of the pre-crash safety system changes between 3 levels. Also, when the switch is pressed and held, the pre-crash safety system cancels.

Note


  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor, replace it with a new one and be sure to initialize the settings. If a pre-crash safety city sensor which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-crash safety city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the pre-crash safety city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY SENSOR AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the E131 pre-crash system cancel switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the O9 pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E131-4 (ECU) - O9-9 (PCSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      E131-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E131-4 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. INSPECT PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY SENSOR


    1. Remove the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly.
