FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Sedan) REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. A012F7N

      Engage the 2 springs to install the seat track adjusting handle to the front seat adjuster assembly.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 6 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly to the front seat adjuster assembly.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK


    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the front seatback spring sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A012HND

      Engage the 2 guides to install the front seatback spring sub-assembly to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seatback edge protectors to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A012FEP

      Engage the 4 guides to install the separate type front seatback spring assembly to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A012GVY

      Engage the 3 claws and guide to install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 3 claws and guide to install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A012L5A

      Engage the clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the screw.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A012LD0

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 6 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. A012FLSC01
        *a Bracket

        Engage the 3 brackets and install the 2 nuts.

        Torque:
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

        Note


        • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the separate type front seatback cover with pad must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.

        • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.

        • Install the brackets securely.

    4. Turn back the separate type front seatback cover to its original position.

    5. A012G6M

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    6. A012HB6

      Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

  19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A012IW1

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 17 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    2. A012FDP

      Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. A012IRE

      Engage the 11 hooks.

    3. A012GZD

      Engage the hook.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. A012HGL

        Engage the claw to install the connector.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A012FFF

        Engage the claw to install the front seat cushion heater wire harness.

      2. Engage the wire harness guide.

      3. Engage the 3 clamps.

      4. A012KQU

        Connect the front seatback heater connector.

      5. Engage the clamp.

    6. A012FKK

      Engage the 2 hooks.

    7. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. A012G80

        Pass the rubber band to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

      2. A012NEC

        Engage the claw to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

      3. Engage the wire harness guide.

      4. Engage the 3 clamps.

  21. INSTALL LOWER SEAT TRACK SPACER (for Driver Side)


    1. A012HUV

      Engage the claw and 2 guides to install the lower seat track spacer.

  22. INSTALL LOWER SEAT TRACK SPACER (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A012KI3

      Engage the claw and 2 guides to install the lower seat track spacer.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)


    1. A012L3X

      Engage the 2 claws and 4 guides to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A012J64

      Engage the 2 claws and 5 guides to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Side)


    1. A012HM6

      Engage the 2 claws, 4 guides and 2 clips to install the front seat cushion shield.

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A012FR0

      Engage the 2 claws, 5 guides and 2 clips to install the front seat cushion shield.

  27. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. Install the vertical adjusting handle with the screw.

  28. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE


    1. Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

  29. CONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Connect the rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

  30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Seat)
