LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION

    Note

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.

    Tech Tips

    The lights controlled by the illuminated entry system are as follows.


    • Engine Switch Illumination*1

    • Map Light Assembly

    • No. 1 Room Light Assembly*2


    • *1: w/ Entry and Start System

    • *2: w/ Room Light


    1. The operation and conditions are described below.

      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

      When any of the following conditions is met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out:


      • The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed.*1, *2

      • Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off with all doors closed and locked.

      • The ignition switch is turned from ON to off when all doors are closed.

      • All doors are closed after any door is opened when the ignition switch is off.
      Fade out immediately

      When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade out immediately:


      • The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all doors are closed.

      • All doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.

      • All doors are locked again when all doors are already closed and locked.

      • *1: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.

  2. CHECK BATTERY SAVING FUNCTION

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings.

    Tech Tips

    The lights controlled by the battery saving function are as follows:


    • Engine Switch Illumination*1

    • Map Light Assembly

    • No. 1 Room Light Assembly*2

    • No. 1 Luggage Compartment Light Assembly

    • Vanity Light Assembly*3


    • *1: w/ Entry and Start System

    • *2: w/ Room Light

    • *3: w/ Vanity Light


    1. The operation and conditions are described below.

      Operation Condition
      The lights are turned off

      When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off and the lights that operate remain on.

      Tech Tips

      Battery saving is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by the battery saving function. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


      • The ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON

      • Any door is opened and closed

      • The back door is opened and closed

      • Any door is unlocked

      • The key enters any exterior actuation area*1

      • *1: w/ Entry and Start System
