DATA LIST
Note
In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
Tech Tips
Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Sonar/Simple-IPA. / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
| Tester Display | Measurement Item | Range | Normal Condition | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Invalid EPS Record during IPA SW-ON | Abnormality history (The EPS entered fail-safe mode while the simple intelligent parking assist system was operating.) | Unrec/Rec*1 | Unrec | *6 |
| History of IPA Cancel due to Lo Power | Abnormality history (The simple intelligent parking assist system was canceled or did not start operating due to low clearance warning ECU assembly IG power source voltage.) | Unrec/Rec*2 | Unrec | *6 |
| History of IPA Cancel due to Large Current | Abnormality history (A large amount of current flowed to the EPS while the simple intelligent parking assist system was operating.) | Unrec/Rec*3 | Unrec | *6 |
| History of IPA Cancel due to Deviation in Steering Angle | Abnormality history (During automatic steering, there was a large difference in steering angle information between the clearance warning ECU assembly and spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.) | Unrec/Rec*4 | Unrec | *6 |
| History of IPA Cancel due to Going Off Course | Abnormality history (During automatic steering, the vehicle deviated from the target path.) | Unrec/Rec*5 | Unrec | *6 |
*1: If the simple intelligent parking assist system was canceled due to overheated EPS or low EPS power source voltage, "Rec" is displayed.
*2: If the IG power source voltage of the clearance warning ECU assembly dropped while the simple intelligent parking assist system was operating or was low when the IPA main switch assembly was pressed to operate the simple intelligent parking assist system, "Rec" is displayed.
*3: If the simple intelligent parking assist system was canceled by the EPS fail-safe operation when a heavy load was applied and a large amount of current flowed, "Rec" is displayed.
*4: If the simple intelligent parking assist system was canceled due to the difference between the target steering angle of the clearance warning ECU assembly and actual steering angle received from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly being 200° or more, "Rec" is displayed.
*5: If automatic steering was canceled due to the vehicle position deviating 300 mm (11.8 in.) or more from the target path during automatic steering operation, "Rec" is displayed.
*6: Clearing the DTCs will reset the abnormality history.
