SIMPLE INTELLIGENT PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the IPA main switch assembly is turned on, a signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The simple intelligent parking assist system operates according to this signal.

  1. INSPECT IPA MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the IPA main switch assembly.

      for Hatchback, Wagon: Click here

    2. Inspect the IPA main switch assembly.

      for Hatchback, Wagon: Click here

      for Sedan: Click here

      OK
      IPA main switch assembly is normal.

    REPLACE IPA MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY for Hatchback, Wagon: Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IPA MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the E134*1 or E101*2 IPA main switch assembly connector.


      • *1: except Sedan

      • *2: for Sedan

    2. Disconnect the E98 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      E134-6 (IG) - Body ground*1 Always 10 kΩ or higher

      E101-6 (IG) - Body ground*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E101-3 (E) - Body ground*2 Always Below 1 Ω
