DESCRIPTION

The No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner LH) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner LH). If the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner LH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

Note

If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly on. Then clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR CORNER LH))


    1. Disconnect the E98 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R4 No. 3 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner LH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
