  1. CONFIRM MODEL


    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the E109 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E109-7 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E109-4 (+B1) - E109-7 (GND1) Always 11 to 14 V
      E109-3 (ACC1) - E109-7 (GND1) Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ENGINE STOP AND START ECU)


    1. Disconnect the E109 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the E24 engine stop and start ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E109-4 (+B1) - E24-2 (BO1) Always Below 1 Ω
      E109-3 (ACC1) - E24-3 (ACO) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the E109 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the E24 engine stop and start ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E109-7 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E109-4 (+B1) - E109-7 (GND1) Always 9.5 to 14 V
      E109-3 (ACC1) - E109-7 (GND1) Ignition switch ACC 9.5 to 14 V
