  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Height Control Sensor)

  3. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER

  4. REMOVE REAR ABSORBER CAP

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the rear absorber cap.

  5. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CUSHION RETAINER

      *b Jack

      Using a jack and wooden block, jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.

      CAUTION:

      Do not jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly too high as the vehicle may fall.

      Note


      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

      • Keep supporting the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with a jack until the installation of the rear shock absorber assembly has been completed.

      Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, secure the rear shock absorber rod and remove the lock nut using a wrench.

      Note

      Securely insert the 6 mm hexagon socket wrench into the rear shock absorber assembly rod to prevent damage to the rear shock absorber assembly when removing the lock nut.

      Remove the rear shock absorber cushion retainer.

  6. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION SUPPORT


    1. Remove the rear suspension support.

  7. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt, nut and rear shock absorber assembly with rear No. 1 spring bumper while compressing the rear shock absorber assembly.

      Note

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.

  8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPRING BUMPER

      Remove the rear No. 1 spring bumper from the rear shock absorber assembly.
