PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER (for 1ZR-FE)

2. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER (for 2ZR-FE)

   Click here

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1ZR-FE)

   Click here

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

   Click here

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1ZR-FE)

   Click here

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

   Click here

7. REMOVE BATTERY (for 1ZR-FE)

   Click here

8. REMOVE BATTERY (for 2ZR-FE)

   Click here

9. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for 1ZR-FE)

   Click here

10. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

    Click here

11. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. Move the shift lever to N.

    2. 

       Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.

    3. Remove the clip and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

12. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

    2. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    3. 

       Pry out the lock plate and remove the lock nut and the lock plate from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

    4. 

       Remove the 2 bolts and pull out the park/neutral position switch assembly from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
