OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER


    1. Apply Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to 2 new O-ring.

    2. Install 2 O-rings to the transmission oil cooler.

    3. Install the transmission oil cooler to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  2. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the transmission oil cooler and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

      Note

      Fully insert the 2 water by-pass hoses until the 2nd rib on each oil cooler pipe.

  3. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for 1ZR-FE)

  4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for 2ZR-FE)

  5. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for 1ZR-FE)

  7. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for 2ZR-FE)

  8. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

  9. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 1ZR-FE)

    Click here

  10. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 2ZR-FE)

    Click here

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Half Cover Type)


  12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Metal Type)
