DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL


    1. B004227N01

      Using SST, remove the transmission case oil seal from the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

  3. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL


    1. B0043OYN01

      Using SST, remove the transaxle case oil seal from the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

  4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL


    1. B004479N01

      Coat the lip of a new transmission case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, install the transmission case oil seal to the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

      Standard Depth
      10.6 to 11.6 mm (0.417 to 0.457 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the transmission case oil seal lip.

  5. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL


    1. B0043M0N01

      Coat the lip of a new transaxle case oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, install the front transaxle case oil seal to the multi-mode manual transaxle assembly.

      Standard Depth
      1.2 to 2.2 mm (0.0472 to 0.0866 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the front transaxle case oil seal lip.
