MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

    Click here

  3. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

      *a Back-up Light Switch Assembly Connector
      *b Park/neutral Position Switch Assembly Connector

      Disconnect the back-up light switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the 3 clamps from the manual transaxle assembly.

    4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire from the manual transaxle assembly.

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and engine wire from the manual transaxle assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

      Loosen the hose clamp and remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 air tube from the air tube support and hose.

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE AIR TUBE SUPPORT


    1. A012G67

      Remove the 2 bolts and air tube support from the manual transaxle assembly.

  7. REMOVE OIL PAN INSULATOR

      Remove the 2 bolts and oil pan insulator from the stiffener plate RH and stiffener plate LH.

  8. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE LH

      Remove the 4 bolts and stiffener plate LH from the engine assembly and manual transaxle assembly.

  9. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE RH


    1. A012KKG

      Remove the 4 bolts and stiffener plate RH from the engine assembly and manual transaxle assembly.

  10. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 5 bolts and manual transaxle assembly from the engine assembly.

  11. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. A012HCK

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the manual transaxle assembly.

  12. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

      Remove the 4 bolts and engine mounting bracket LH from the manual transaxle assembly.

  13. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

      *A Type A
      *B Type B

      Remove the 3 bolts and front engine mounting bracket from the manual transaxle assembly.

  14. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

      *A Type A
      *B Type B

      Remove the 5 bolts and rear engine mounting bracket from the manual transaxle assembly.

  15. REMOVE SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and speedometer driven hole cover sub-assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the speedometer driven hole cover sub-assembly.
