SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Install the floor shift lever assembly to the vehicle body with the 4 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

      Torque:

      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

2. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 claws to connect the transmission control cable assembly to the floor shift lever assembly.

      Note

      Make sure that the claws are firmly engaged.

   2. Connect the transmission control shift cable to the floor shift lever assembly.

   3. Connect the transmission control select cable to the floor shift lever assembly with the clip.

      Note

      
      

      • Make sure that the lock piece of the transmission control select cable length adjustment structure is facing upward when the transmission control select cable is connected.

      • Make sure that the transmission control select cable is securely installed.

3. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS (for LHD)

   
   

   1. Engage the 4 clamps to connect the wire harness to the floor shift lever assembly.

4. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS (for RHD)

   
   

   1. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the floor shift lever assembly.

5. ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback, Wagon)
