MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  2. INSPECT TRANSAXLE OIL


    1. Lift the vehicle.

      Note

      Set the vehicle on a lift so that the vehicle is kept level when it is lifted up.

    2. A00316JC01
      *1 Manual Transmission Filler Plug

      Remove the manual transmission filler plug and gasket from the manual transmission case.

    3. A0030VFC02
      *a 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Check that the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening.

      Note

      An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.

    4. Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low.

    5. Install the manual transmission filler plug and a new gasket to the manual transmission case.

      Torque:
      39.2 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }
