CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Install the clutch master cylinder bracket.

    2. Install the clutch master cylinder assembly to the body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      17.5 N*m  { 178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
    3. A00Y9A7C01
      A00Y51D MP grease

      Apply MP grease to the contact surfaces between the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin and clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bushing.

    4. Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis to the clutch pedal sub-assembly with the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin.

      Tech Tips

      Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin from the right side of the vehicle.

    5. Install the clip to the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin.

  2. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      A00Y51D MP grease

      Install the clutch master cylinder bracket.

    2. Apply MP grease to the sliding portions of the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis and clutch pedal sub-assembly.

    3. Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis to the cutout of the clutch pedal sub-assembly from the left side of the vehicle and push it downward.

    4. Install the clutch master cylinder assembly to the boby with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      17.5 N*m  { 178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Check that the push rod cannot be turned 30° or more in order to confirm that the clevis is securely engaged in the pedal.

  3. CONNECT CLUTCH LINE

    1. Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, connect the clutch line.

      Torque:
      15.2 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).

      • Use the torque value compensation formula to calculate the torque value for use when a torque wrench is combined with a tool such as a union nut wrench.

  4. INSTALL CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE


    1. Connect the clutch reservoir tube to the clutch master cylinder assembly with the clip.

  5. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  6. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID

    Click here

  7. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for EC60)

    Click here

  8. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for EC61)

    Click here

  9. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for EC69)

  10. BLEED CLUTCH LINE (for EA66)

  11. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR

  12. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

    Check for leakage in the clutch system.
