OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY(for 8NR-FTS) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Temporarily install a new oil pump with motor assembly to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Note

      
      

      • Make sure that the O-ring is installed to the oil pump with motor assembly.

      • Make sure that the O-ring is not moved out of place when installing the oil pump with motor assembly.

      • To prevent the O-ring from being damaged, do not move the oil pump with motor assembly laterally with it contacting the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

   2. Tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque:

      22 N*m  { 224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }

   3. Connect the wire harness to the oil pump with motor assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

   4. Connect the oil pump with motor assembly connector.

2. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

3. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

   
   

   1. Temporarily install the front engine mounting insulator to the front engine mounting bracket with the bolt and nut.

   2. Connect the front engine mounting insulator sub-assembly to the front crossmember sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      95 N*m  { 969 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf }

   3. Fully install the front engine mounting insulator with the nut and bolt.

      Torque:

      85 N*m  { 867 kgf*cm, 63 ft.*lbf }

4. ADJUST CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

5. AIR BLEED OIL PUMP WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

6. INSPECT FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID LEAK

7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
