CLUTCH PEDAL(for LHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS BUSHING


    1. Mount the clutch pedal sub-assembly in a soft jaw vise.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the clutch pedal sub-assembly in the vise.

    2. A01LVNSC01
      A01M03W MP grease

      Apply MP grease to the inside of a new clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bushing.

    3. Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bushing to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bushing from the left side of the vehicle.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION


    1. Using needle-nose pliers, install the 2 No. 1 clutch pedal cushions to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL BUSHING


    1. A01M2CWC01
      A01M03W MP grease

      Apply MP grease to both sides of 2 new clutch pedal bushings.

    2. Install the 2 clutch pedal bushings to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL PAD


    1. Install the clutch pedal pad to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch pedal sub-assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      36.8 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips


      • Install the bolt from the right side of the vehicle.

      • When tightening the nut, keep the bolt from rotating.

  6. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING (for 1NR-FE)


    1. A01LX4LC01
      A01M03W MP grease

      Apply MP grease to the sliding portions of the clutch pedal spring.

    2. Install the clutch pedal spring to the clutch pedal sub-assembly and clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL PEDAL WITH HOOK SPRING (except 1NR-FE)


    1. A01LWNXC01
      A01M03W MP grease

      Apply MP grease to the sliding portions of the pedal with hook spring.

    2. Install a new turnover bushing to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

    3. Install the clutch pedal spring holder to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

    4. Install the pedal with hook spring to the clutch pedal sub-assembly and clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

  8. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL STOPPER BOLT


    1. Install the clutch pedal stopper bolt so that its end touches the No. 1 clutch pedal cushion.

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the lock nut to the specified torque when adjusting the clutch pedal.

  9. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clip nut to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

    2. Install the clutch pedal support sub-assembly to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts and bolt.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      23.6 N*m  { 241 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }
      Nut
      17.5 N*m  { 178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS WITH HOLE PIN


    1. A01M0J6C01
      *A for 1ZR-FE, 1ZR-FAE, 1ND-TV, 8NR-FTS
      *B for 1NR-FE, 1WW
      A01M03W MP grease

      Apply MP grease to the contact surface of the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin and clutch master cylinder push rod clevis bushing.

    2. Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis to the clutch pedal sub-assembly with the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin.

      Tech Tips

      Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin from the right side of the vehicle.

    3. Install the clip to the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis with hole pin.

  11. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  13. CONNECT CONNECTORS

  14. INSTALL MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)

  15. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. INSPECT CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
