DESCRIPTION

The speed limiter system uses the wheel speed signal that is sent from the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU).

This DTC indicates a malfunction in a wheel speed sensor of the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU).

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • Before replacing the ECM, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • When this DTC is stored, speed limiter system operation will be prohibited. Even after DTCs are cleared, operation of the speed limiter system will remain prohibited until the following is performed.

    - Turn the ignition switch from off to on (IG), drive the vehicle at a speed of 15 km/h or more for at least 10 seconds, then turn the speed limiter system on.

Tech Tips

This DTC may be stored by the vehicle stability control system at the same time. In that case, perform troubleshooting for the vehicle stability control system first.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCS (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

    GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK FOR DTCS (DTC P157804)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs

    5. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed for which speed limiter system operation is possible.

      2. Turn the speed limiter system on and drive the vehicle for more than 10 seconds.

    6. Check for DTCs.
