GENERATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. B0044SMN01

      Insert the bolt (A) to the generator assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. B0044AIC01
      B0042CO Set in this Direction

      Set the generator assembly with bolt (A) to the engine assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      As there is not enough clearance to insert the bolt (A) after setting the generator assembly to the engine assembly, set the generator assembly to the engine assembly with the bolt (A) inserted.

    3. B0042EBN01

      Using an E12 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the bolt (A) and install the bolt (B).

      Torque:
      38 N*m  { 387 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the generator assembly connector.

    5. Connect the wire harness to terminal B with the nut.

      Torque:
      12.7 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    6. Install the terminal cap.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
