  1. INITIALIZATION

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following system(s) after the cable is reconnected:

  2. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSIONS

    The type of ignition switch used on this model differs depending on the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

    Expression Ignition Switch (Position) Engine Switch (Condition)

  3. CHARGING SYSTEM PRECAUTION

    Note


    • Check that the battery cables are connected to the correct terminals.

    • Disconnect the battery cables when the battery is given a quick charge.

    • Do not perform tests with a high voltage insulation resistance tester.

    • Never disconnect the battery cables while the engine is running.

    • Check that the charging cable nuts are tightened on terminal B of the generator and on the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.
