EXHAUST FUEL ADDITION INJECTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR SEAL


    1. Install a new fuel injector seal to the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly.

  2. INSTALL EXHAUST FUEL ADDITION INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    Note

    If there is any foreign matter on the installation surface of the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly, be sure to clean the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly before installation.


    1. Install a new gasket, the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly, nozzle holder clamp and washer with the bolt.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Align the nozzle holder clamp with the cutouts of the exhaust fuel addition injector assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL FUEL HOSE PROTECTOR


    1. Install the fuel hose protector with the bolt.

      Torque:
      20.5 N*m  { 209 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  6. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS


    1. Install the bolt to the fuel hose protector.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the 5 connectors and 3 wire harness clamps.

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
