FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • When replacing the injector assemblies (including exchanging the injector assemblies between the cylinders), common rail assembly, intake manifold or cylinder head sub-assembly, it is necessary to replace the injection pipe sub-assemblies with new ones.

  • When replacing the supply pump assembly, common rail assembly, intake manifold or cylinder head sub-assembly, it is necessary to replace the fuel inlet pipe sub-assembly with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    • Before replacing the fuel temperature sensor, be sure to clean the surrounding area.

    • When replacing the fuel temperature sensor, make sure that your hands are clean and do not use gloves, etc.

    • If the fuel temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.
