PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE VALVE STEM CAP

      Remove the valve stem caps from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  2. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE


    1. Type A:


      1. A01D4KOC08
        *a Wooden Block

        Using SST and wooden blocks, compress and remove the valve spring retainer locks.

        SST
        09202-70020   ( 09202-00010 )

        Tech Tips

        Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

      2. Remove the valve spring retainer, compression spring and intake valve.

    2. Type B:

        *a Wooden Block

        Using SST and wooden blocks, compress and remove the valve spring retainer locks.

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

        Using SST and wooden blocks, compress and remove the valve spring retainer locks.

      2. Remove the valve spring retainer, compression spring and exhaust valve.

        Using SST and wooden blocks, compress and remove the valve spring retainer locks.

  4. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL


    1. A01D3NR

      Using needle-nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seals.

  5. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT


    1. A01D5CS

      Using compressed air and Magnet Hand, remove the valve spring seats by blowing air onto them.
