CYLINDER HEAD(w/o Glow Plug Controller) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE VALVE STEM CAP


    1. Remove the 8 valve stem caps.

  2. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

      Using SST, remove the 2 valve spring retainer lock halves.

    2. Remove the valve spring retainer, outer compression spring and intake valve from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

      Using SST, remove the 2 valve spring retainer lock halves.

    2. Remove the valve spring retainer, outer compression spring and exhaust valve from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL

      Using needle-nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seal.

  5. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT


    1. Remove the valve spring seat from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE VALVE ROCKER ARM PIVOT

      Remove the valve rocker arm pivot from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG

      Using a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the No. 1 with head taper screw plug and gasket.
