CYLINDER HEAD DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE


    1. Place the cylinder head sub-assembly on a wooden block.

      Using SST, compress the inner compression spring and remove the valve spring retainer locks.

    3. Remove the valve spring retainer, inner compression spring and intake valve.

      Tech Tips

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE


    1. Place the cylinder head sub-assembly on a wooden block.

      Using SST, compress the inner compression spring and remove the valve spring retainer locks.

    3. Remove the valve spring retainer, inner compression spring and exhaust valve.

      Tech Tips

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  3. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL


    1. A00Y9ID

      Using needle-nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seal.

  4. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT PLATE WASHER


    1. A00Y7P7

      Using compressed air and a magnet hand, remove the valve spring seat plate washer by blowing air onto it.
