FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL


    1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new front crankshaft oil seal.

      Note

      Keep the lip free of foreign matter.

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the front crankshaft oil seal as shown in the illustration.

      09223-50010
      Standard Depth
      0 to 0.6 mm (0 to 0.0236 in.)

      Note


      • Do not tap in the front crankshaft oil seal at an angle.

      • Wipe off extra grease on the crankshaft.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY


    1. Align the keyway of the crankshaft pulley with the key located on the crankshaft, then slide the crankshaft pulley into place.

    2. A00Y9JMN01

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley and install a new crankshaft pulley bolt.

      Torque:
      300 N*m  { 3059 kgf*cm, 221 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT
